She is currently MD/CEO, Rock Realty Limited, Abuja.
Mrs Oluwakemi Ajide
Mrs Oluwakemi Ajide RN, RM, Post Basic Nursing (A&E), BNSc and rose through the ranks occupying leadership roles at unit levels in the Accident & Emergency Ward, VIP Ward, Cardiac Centre, GOPD and the Trauma Centre of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital. She had various trainings at home and at the State of Israel with more than 30 years clinical nursing experience. She is currently the Deputy Director and Head of Nursing Department at the UITH, Ilorin.
Alhaji Aliyu O. Ajikobi
Alhaji Aliyu Oba Ajikobi, BSc (Hons), MBA, MBF, FCIT, FCNA. A 1982 Accountancy graduate of BUK, Kano; Masters in Banking and Finance, Milan, Italy; MBA (UIL) and Fellow Nigerian Institutes of Management, Taxation and Association of National Accountants. Earlier, he was Deputy General Manager of the defunct Kwara Industrial Trust Fund in 1994. He moved over to Federal Civil Service as Chief Accountant, Head of Internal Audit, Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, later Military Pension Board. He was at the Bureau of Public
Service Reform (BPSR) before becoming Director, Internal Ausit (OHCSF). In 2014, he became the pioneer Director of Finance and Accounts of the Nigerian Police Force, a position he held till retirement in 2018.
Prof. Murtala Awodun
Prof Murtala Awodun, BSc and MSc (Economics) PhD (International Business), FNIM, FIMC, FPFM, FIDM, MCIA, MAIB, ACTI Professor of Business Administration. Prof Awodun is the immediate past Executive Chairman, Kwara State Internal Revenue Service that revolutionalised revenue collection in the state. He had been pioneer Dean, School of Business and Governance, Kwara State University and pioneer Director, Centre for Entrepreneurship, KWASU. He had a stict with the Guaranty Trust Bank in the early 90s and spent a decade with Lagos State University before joining LASU. He had consulted for several local and international organisations including the Ford Foundation, World Intellectual Property Organisation and the European Union.
Prof. Rasheed A. Balogun
Prof Rasheed Abiodun Balogun. MBBS, FACP, FMCP. Prof Balogun is a tenured Professor of Medicine, Medical Director of the Extracorporeal Therapies (Apheresis) Program, Zion Crossroads Hemodialysis Unit and Encompass Health Subacute Hemodialysis Unit at the University of Virginia. He was trained at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and the University of Connecticut, USA.
Apart from clinical duties and research interests focusing on prevention and treatment of acute and chronic kidney disease and using extracorporeal therapies to treat renal, neurological and hematological disorders, he created and directs the Therapeutic Apheresis Academy, an annual multidisciplinary national conference He serves on many committees including the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the American Society of Nephrology. He is the Chair of Nephrology and Internal Medicine sections of the National Medical Association, USA.
Alhaji (Pharm) Rahamon Bioku
Alhaji (Pharm) Rahamon Bioku, Founder/CEO, BIORAJ Pharmaceutical Limited, a graduate of Pharmacy, Second Class, upper division, from the University of Ibadan. He had a stint with some private organisations before establishing his company in 1994. The company has 56 products registered with National Agency For Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC).
He is a Fellow of Institute of Management Consultants, Fellow Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria and Fellow Institute of Classic Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Professionalism and Prosperity. He is a recipient of the traditional title Bobajiro of Kishiland in Oyo State and has also had a school named after him in Kebbi State as recognition for his contributions to education.
Mr Oladele G. Buraimoh
Mr Oladele Ganiu Buraimoh, is a successful Bussiness Administrator with OND, HND and over 30 years’ cognate experience. He is MD of Riteway Travels and Tours, a company bought over in 2009 and recapitalized and restructured. He is also a co-owner and MD of Harvard Business Services specializing in importation of printing machines, electronics and other limited liability companies dealing in modern photography services and events coverage.
Mr Kehinde K. Eleja
Mr Kehinde K Eleja, SAN. Mr Eleja (SAN) was admitted to the Nigerian Bar as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1993. He began his legal practice in criminal prosecution, rendering legal advisory services to the Benue State Ministry of Justice. By dint of hard work, and focus, he rose rapidly to become a Partner and Head of Chambers having joined the services of Yusuf Ali & Co in October 1994.
He left on that position to establish his practice in Ilorin and Abuja in 2011. He has wide experience spanning corporate and individual representation in all the courts of records in Nigeria, Commission of Inquiry, Arbitration Panels, Election Petition Tribunals, among others. He was appointed Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 2015.
He was Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ilorin branch (2005-2007) and a member of the National Executive Committee of the NBA (2005-2009). He is a council member of the Council of Legal Education and a member of the International Bar Association. He has received numerous awards in recognition of his contributions to legal practice including publication of books and articles.
Prof. Olugbenga Mokuolu
Prof Olugbenga Ayodeji Mokuolu; MB, BS; FWACP (Paed). Professor Mokuolu is a paediatrician and biomedical researcher with over 24 years’ experience in competences that cut across clinical, academic and programmatic issues with special interest in malaria control and neonatal medicine. He is currently the National Malaria Technical Director in Nigeria. He has held top administrative positions at both the University of Ilorin and the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital spanning four Directorates
including Director of Clinical Research and Training (otherwise known as Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee). He has won many awards including Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Annual Prize in Science (a 2017 joint-winner), Champion to End Malaria (one of 20 people so recognised globally and included in a photo exhibition at the United Nations Headquarters in New York during the 2011 World Malaria Day Celebrations. He has several international and national appointments including Chair (2017 till date) Technical Expert Group on Antimalarial Treatment Guidelines, World Health Organisation (WHO) and Member Africa Genome Project Communicable Diseases Working Group (under the NIH, USA) and member, Steering Committee on the Reduction of Maternal Newborn and Child Mortality in West Africa (West Africa Health Organisation). He has over 90 publications and some chapters in text books
Dr Chima K. Ofoegbu
Dr Chima Kinsley Paschal Ofoegbu, MB, BS; FWACS; MMed, a Consultant cardiothoracic surgeon and Senior Lecturer at the Groote Schuur Hospital (GSH) and the University of Cape Town, South Africa. A 1997 MB,BS graduate of University of Ibadan and FWACS General Surgery (2004). He had further training at the Chris Bernard Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, GHS, Cape Town (2006-2009).
He also has a Master of Medicine degree of the University of Cape Town. He is involved in heart valve research, transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) and thoracic transplantation programs at GSH, Cape Town. He had been Director, Centre for Injury Research and Safety Promotion (CIRASP) at the UITH, Ilorin. He is widely published.
Dr Olubunmi O. Olopha
Dr Olubunmi Omowunmi Olopha RN, RM, Public Health Nurse, B Sc, M Sc, PhD (Health and Safety Education). Dr Olopha in addition has a Master’s Degree in Public Health (MPH) and over 25 years’ experience in nursing practices at the University College Hospital, Ibadan.
She is the current head of Disease Surveillance Unit and the Lead focal person for the UCH for Disease Surveillance and Notification and a prominent member of the UCH Committee on Response to Emergencies and Outbreak of Diseases. She has facilitated at various national and international training programmes and taken part at different levels of decision making for health programs, strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation of health programs.
Prof Omotayo Oloruntoba-Oju
Prof Omotayo Oloruntoba-Oju a seasoned and highly creative academic who was winner of the Best Literature Student Prize in her undergraduate class, Second Class Upper (English/Performing Arts, Combined Honours) at University of Ilorin; Master of Arts (Theatre Arts) at the University of Ibadan and PhD English (Dramatic Literature) at the University of Ilorin. This expertise in Language and Performing Arts has been deployed in participating and producing plays. At Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba she pioneered theatre consciousness and awareness and established the University troupe, designed University Flag and
composed the Anthem for which she received commendations. She is also Catalyst Fellow of the University of Edinburgh. She became a Professor in 2015.
Dr Abayomi Salawu
Dr Abayomi Salawu MB, BS; FWACS; FRCS; FHEA is rehabilitation medicine consultant with the Hull University teaching Hospital NHS Trust and an honorary senior clinical lecturer with Hull/York Medical School (HYMS). He is also an honorary senior
lecturer with the University of Hull Sports Science department. He is the clinical lead on major trauma rehabilitation for the Hull Major Trauma Centre as well as the Network Director of Trauma Rehabilitation for the North Yorkshire and Humberside Major
Trauma Network.
He has a clinical background in surgery with fellowship of the West African College of Surgeons (Orthopaedics) and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He developed an active interest in rehabilitation while at National Spinal injuries Centre in Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury and trained in Rehabilitation Medicine at Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust.
He subsequently took up post as a Rehabilitation Medicine consultant with the Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust before being appointed to his current post at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. He also has postgraduate qualifications in Medical Education as well as in Sports and Exercise medicine. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). His clinical areas of interest include Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation, Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation,
Amputee Rehabilitation and Exercise Medicine especially in people with disabilities
Prof. Babatunde A. Solagberu
Prof Babatunde Akibu Solagberu; MB, BS; FWACS, FICS: a 1987 graduate of theUniversity of Ibadan, Fellow of West African College of Surgeons (Orthopaedic Surgery) and Fellow of the International College of Surgeons. He has practised at both the public
and private medical facilities; Consultant Surgeon to EKO Hospitals, Ikeja 1996-1997 and the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital Ilorin (1997-2007) and Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja (2007 till date).
He is a creative, dedicated researcher and clinician whose research interests span trauma, emergency prehospital transport and bone and joint infections. He has held leadership positions at both hospital and university levels: Head of Department of Surgery (2012-2015), Dean of the Faculty of Clinical Sciences (2008-2010) and most recently the Provost of the College of Medicine, Lagos State University, Ikeja (2016-2017) with novel achievements.
He led his colleagues to ensure that LASUCOM became the first State University with Dentistry accreditation. Vision and mission statements for Departments, Faculties and the College were established along Clinical Governance and excellence uncommon for public establishments. He has served as temporary adviser on injuries for the World Health Organisation (2005). He belonged to several national and international associations on injuries and violence including being President of Injury Prevention Initiative For Africa (IPIFA) and the Centre for Injury Research and Safety Promotion (CIRASP) which he established in Ilorin in 1999. Prof Solagberu has run a part-time Private practice at Olalomi Hospitals Ilorin as extramural practice since 1999 which is being midwifed to the multispecialist hospital.
